Malaysia's histruction is long and continues today — from Malaysia's devastation of customary forests of numerous indigenous groups (such as the Penan) for profit to Malaysian timber companies plundering the world's forests.

Later this month, Malaysia is hosting the CITES meeting — the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna.

We can use this opportunity to express our outrage at Malaysia's past and continuing forest plunder and renew the call for a boycott of illegally and unsustainably logged rainforest timber.
